Hi everyone,
Friday night, my car suddenly broke down. I had two different mechanics take a look, and both told me the same devastating news — the engine is completely gone. A replacement engine costs between $800–$1,000, and labor alone will cost another $1,500, bringing the total to about $2,500 — something I just can’t afford right now.
This isn’t just about a car. Without it, I can’t get to work or manage daily life. But more importantly, without transportation, my daughter and I can’t stay in Florida. If I can’t find a way to replace our car soon, we’ll be forced to return to New York — and that would likely mean ending up in the shelter system again.
For her sake, I’m doing everything I can to avoid that. She deserves stability and a safe place to grow.
Please help us in getting another car so we can stay on our feet, stay together, and stay in a place where we have a chance to thrive. Every little bit helps — whether it’s a donation or just sharing this with someone who might be able to help.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for supporting us in this incredibly difficult moment.
