After an unexpected layoff in December, I have been doing everything I can to stay afloat while searching for stable employment and caring for my 17-year-old son.
Over the past several months, I’ve been actively interviewing, applying for jobs, networking, and working with local assistance organizations to help bridge this difficult transition period. As a single mother, maintaining stable housing and a sense of security for my son during this time has been my highest priority.
The Salvation Army has already committed partial assistance toward rent, and this fundraiser is intended to help cover the remaining balance along with essential living expenses while I continue working toward financial stability and employment.
I never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to ask publicly for help, but right now any support — whether through donations, sharing this fundraiser, or simply words of encouragement — would mean more than I can express.
The funds raised will go toward rent, utilities, groceries, transportation, and other essential expenses needed to maintain a stable environment for my son while I continue actively pursuing work opportunities and assistance resources.
My goal is simple: to keep a roof over our heads, prevent further financial hardship, and create enough stability to move forward during this temporary but deeply challenging chapter.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any kindness, support, or encouragement you are able to give. Every donation, share, message, and act of support truly makes a difference. Even if you are unable to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser or keeping us in your thoughts means more than you know.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
