I wanna start this GoFundMe to help me and my partner pay our rent without having to put it on credit cards like we have been the past three months.

Part of the reason we’ve had to do this has been because of a diagnosis I received over a year ago (related to a plethora of symptoms I experience on a daily basis) - PNES: Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures.

You may think of them as extreme “stress episodes” as well. They are debilitating and as a result of their frequency I have only been able to work part time ever since. Part of treatment is also intense therapy; there are no medications specific to helping/curing the disorder aside from anti-anxiety and/or anti-depressants, all of which, as you can probably imagine, are also very expensive without extra income.

It has also been extremely difficult to pursue status even as a temporary disability and parts of the system may not recognize the diagnosis as such (even though most studies prove it qualifies).

If you are able to donate, I plan to pay it forward in the future by donating to charity and/or volunteering time helping those in need (I have helped those in need with OCD, hoarding disorder, and general cleaning for those simply needing the extra set of hands necessary to keep up with household chores!).

Our rent is currently $1,100 per month not including utilities.

Currently we are just looking to catch up/keep up with this bill but may need additional help in the future with all the above considered.

Even if all you can do is hope/pray for us, for progress and improvement in these circumstances, every bit helps :)
