South Wind Equestrian Center
Donation protected
We are a private facility west of Leander, Texas that provides equine therapy to adults and children. We have licensed mental health professionals on site several times a week. This fundraiser is to supplement our revenue stream until our clients are able to come out again for treatment. The money raised will pay for the horses care. It will be deposited into the South Wind Equestrian Center account and used to pay for expenses.
When COVID-19 was discovered, and our community was told to shelter in place and social distance, our income was affected. We are an essential business because we do provide human healthcare, but many of our clients were concerned about leaving home. Due to the drop in the number of clients our teams are able to see, we have lost income that supports my staff and the care of the horses.
In order for our therapy teams to continue working when able, we must be able to continue to provide the same high quality care for the horses. This includes hay, grain, medicine and of course labor to keep our facility clean and safe.
I, Kelly Jones, did apply for an SBA loan to help bridge the gap while we are unable to provide the number of therapy sessions, equine experiences, coaching or lessons, and did not receive any funds. I do not want to have to lay off my three current barn contractors, as they are part of my barn family.
Any help is appreciated and I am grateful for your support. Thank you GoFundMe! #SmallBusinessRelief
