I am starting this fundraiser for myself and my son, Robert, during one of the hardest times our family has ever faced. Robert and his dog, Leah, were involved in a hit-and-run. Leah did not survive, and Robert is now in the ICU with a critical brain injury. We are heartbroken over the loss of Leah and deeply worried for Robert as he fights to recover. Right now, I am doing everything I can to be there for my son, but the repeated travel to Bend is becoming very difficult to manage on my own.

The funds from this fundraiser will help with the day-to-day costs of traveling to see Robert, including gas, food, and basic vehicle maintenance like oil, antifreeze, and windshield fluid. These funds will also help cover Robert’s brother’s travel costs so our family can be there for him during this critical time. If needed, it may also help with housing while staying near him. Any help would be a wonderful blessing during this painful and uncertain time.
