Support for My Dad’s Healing Journey & Our Family’s Stay by His Side

Hi everyone,

My name is Jordan, and my family is currently going through one of the hardest periods of our lives. My dad has been in the hospital since October after being life-flighted from OSF to Loyola Medicine. He suffered a collapsed lung and had to be placed on a ventilator. After a long fight, he was able to come off the ventilator for a short time — but just a few days ago, he had to be put back on it due to breathing complications. The ventilator is helping give his lungs the chance to rest and hopefully heal.

Since then, my cousin and I have been staying down here every day to support him. We’ve spent everything we have on hotels, food, parking, and simply trying to stay close so he’s never alone during this fight. With how long this journey has been, our resources are nearly gone, but we want to continue being here for him as he battles through this second round on the ventilator.

I’m reaching out with humility to ask for help. Any funds raised will go directly toward:

Food and transportation

Parking and hospital-related expenses

Anything needed to allow us to stay nearby and support my dad through his recovery
