My husband and I have been facing an incredibly difficult time. Not long ago, he began experiencing severe pain in his lungs, which led to multiple trips to the ER. After many visits and a lot of uncertainty, we finally received a diagnosis: he needs major surgery on his tracheotomy. The doctors discovered that his airway is collapsed in an area, making it dangerously narrow—almost like a baby’s straw. There are also collapses on each part that goes to his lungs, which makes breathing and daily life extremely challenging for him.

Because of his illness, my husband has already missed a lot of work and hasn’t been getting paid. Now, with the surgery coming up, he’ll be out of work for at least seven more weeks. This has put us behind on our bills, and with the new year, our insurance co-pay is much higher than before. We’re struggling to keep up with rent, car insurance, and electricity, all while preparing for the significant medical expenses that are coming our way.

We are reaching out for help because we want to make sure we can keep our home, cover our basic needs, and pay for the surgery that my husband urgently needs.
