Three years ago, I suffered a fall at work that left me unable to continue working. Since then, I have applied for disability benefits three times, but I am still waiting for approval. My daughter, who is 21 and attends college, recently had a baby. After giving birth, she lost her job, and now we are struggling to keep up with our bills and provide for the newest member of our family, who will be four months old on April 4, 2026.

We are doing everything we can to get by. I have applied for food stamps, but we still need help paying for rent, utilities, and the essentials for the baby—formula, clothes, and furniture. My daughter is working hard to finish her education and care for her child, but without her job, it has been nearly impossible to make ends meet.
