Help us start Tilt Vineyards!

Hi friends!

 

We are Jenny and Evan and we're starting an inclusive, sustainable community vineyard in Front Royal, Virginia-- called Tilt Vineyards.

 

Our goal is to Tilt  the wine-industry on its side. We are growing premium-quality grapes on the Statler Farm, but also building a brand and winery that supports who we are—a groovy, woman and LGBTQ-run winery that can represent the changing demographics of our community at large. The wine world is a bit outdated and archaic, and we want to liven things up a bit with a fresh, young, less-stuffy take on what it is to make and appreciate a good wine.

 

It's safe to say Evan's the expert. With over a decade’s experience in farming, vineyard management and winery operations across the most renowned wine regions in the country, Evan’s background includes organic grape-growing in Northern California and cold weather grape-growing in Northern Michigan at Bowers Harbor Vineyard.  Jenny has 7+ years of bar-managing expertise in some of the best cocktail bars in NYC-- working with investors to develop robust wine programs from specialized regions where she lived in Argentina and Spain.

In the future, we are hoping to expand our brand by supporting minority-led businesses, reaching out to local high schools to come learn about viticulture and sustainable farming practices, and giving back to the community by hosting events to showcase some of the wonderful small businesses Front Royal has to offer.

 

But before we get ahead of ourselves, this is where you come in. Many of you have been to this magical place we all call "The Farm" and we're hoping you want some stake in the game. We are looking to create a "Founders Circle" of close friends and family who want to be an integral part of this adventure. The up-front costs are hefty-- from the first vines being planted this spring, to deer-fencing, to helping build a tasting room that all can enjoy and, eventually, a full-fledged winery-- every dollar counts. And *MAJOR BONUS* you can brag to your friends and say you helped start the coolest vineyard in town!

 

We will create a space for all and host events and gatherings. We will help the environment by using centuries-old biodynamic practices instead of herbicides and harsh chemicals. But most of all, we will make great wine for you and your friends to enjoy. We just need that extra boost to get started.
