Help Us Start Over After Devastating Family Trauma

My name is Devyn, and I’m a mother of four. I never imagined I’d be sharing something like this. But everything about our life changed recently, and now I’m asking for help to keep my children safe and give us a chance to start over.

My husband, who had always been the main provider, was arrested for sexually assaulting our three-year-old daughter. He is facing severe charges and will be likely be incarcerated for a very long time. He has been permanently removed from our family and will never return to our lives. This has been devastating in every possible way.

Our home, once filled with normal routines and childhood noise, became the center of trauma. I’ve had to make impossible decisions quickly—for the safety and healing of my children. I’m doing everything I can to stay strong for them, but the truth is, I’m overwhelmed and terrified.

I’ve been raising our children with my whole heart, homeschooling the older two and doing my best to give them a steady, loving life. But now I’m their sole provider, and we are facing homelessness. I have no income, no childcare, and no safety net. I need to find work, but I can’t even begin that process until we have a place to live and some stability—especially for my daughter, who needs time and space to begin to heal from the trauma she’s experienced.

This is the hardest thing I’ve ever walked through, but I believe there are people who will hear our story and want to be part of helping us rise from this heartbreak. If you’re able to give, share, or pray for us, it truly means the world.
