I moved to North Tulsa almost six years ago, and from the very beginning, I found myself drawn to helping the many dogs in need around me. It seemed like every week, another dog was abandoned or lost near my home, and I couldn’t turn away. Over the years, my mom and I have rescued dozens and dozens of dogs, giving them food, shelter, and a second chance at a happy life. My mom lives between Turley and Sperry, where dogs are dumped on her road all the time. Together, we’ve set up feeding stations, fostered countless dogs, and made sure they get the vet care they need before finding them loving homes. We also help people in our area with spay/neuter services and emergency vet care for their pets, doing what we can to make a difference for both the animals and our neighbors.

Our passion for dogs comes from my grandma, who passed away four years ago. She was an incredible woman who taught us the importance of compassion and caring for animals. We want to honor her memory by taking the next step—officially starting our own nonprofit dog rescue. The funds from this fundraiser will help us cover the costs of filing for nonprofit status, including the 1023 Form, and will go toward supplies like dog runs and other essentials to get us started. We’re excited to build something lasting that will help even more dogs in our community.
