My husband and I have been married for almost eight years, and for over five of those years, we've been hoping to start a family. We waited until we felt a bit older and more financially stable, but after two years of trying on our own with no luck, we decided to seek help from a fertility clinic. That's when we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility.

We went through six rounds of medicated IUI cycles, each one filled with hope, but unfortunately, none were successful. The emotional and financial toll was heavy, so we took a break to regroup. Our clinic told us that IVF was the next step, but as self-employed individuals, our insurance doesn't cover any IVF costs, and we simply weren't ready—emotionally or financially—to take that leap. The repeated negative tests have been mentally very hard on both of us, and it's been a struggle to stay hopeful.
