I’ve always dreamed of starting my own farm and becoming self-sufficient, and now I want to share that dream with my kids. As a former FFA student, I learned so much about livestock care, meat grading, and agriculture, but I never had the chance to raise animals myself when I was young. Now, I want to give my children the experiences I missed out on, and help them learn responsibility and the value of hard work by caring for their very first goat weanlings.

Recently, I found an affordable stall rental near our home, which makes this dream possible. By starting with goats from award-winning lines, I hope to make an investment in our family’s future. Over the next few years, my goal is to ethically breed well-known goat and sheep lines, eventually saving enough to buy land and expand our farm. This isn’t just about having animals—it’s about building something lasting for my kids, teaching them important life skills, and creating opportunities I never had.
