Help Start a Community Space for Gamers & Nerds!
Donation protected
Hello! We are Navin Sundaramurthy (26), Lorelei Sundaramurthy (25) and Dominic Perry (23) - a small group of artists and game designers who have grown up in Gardner and recognize our city's need for community spaces. We are opening up an independent game store named the Mimic Box, specializing in bubble tea, nerd culture, and fan-artist work. This store is opening in the Fall of 2024 in Gardner. The building we are using is an old gas station that we are renovating.
We want our store to be a space where people can share their hobbies and interests over a drink of bubble tea, and find cool and exciting merchandise to add to their collections. Included in our merchandise will be work sourced from local fan-artists. Part of our goal is to give such independent artists space and opportunity to sell their work and pursue their own creative dreams! Whether it's our patrons making new friends over a game night or our artist partners making income off of their passion, we want our space to be one that supports and uplifts our community!
We have already begun independently investing, painting, and renovating the building, but need help to get our project off the ground. If you are interested in showing your solidarity and support with a thoughtful donation, it will help us transform this old, beat-up gas station, get boba equipment, and most importantly, make something fun for Gardner!
Donating isn't mandatory, but sharing news about the Mimic Box or this GoFundMe is also super helpful! We would love to meet all of you and talk about or play our favorite games over some refreshing Bubble Tea!
