My sister Jen is hitting, what I believe, to be the darkest part of her life thus far. I’m asking you read this with a kind and open mind.
Jen has played tug-a-war with anxiety for as long as I can remember and for most of those years, she bossed it and carried that weight. She did that for a few reasons. One being, she had to. Life is still happening around you when you feel like you’re falling apart. Work, bills, kids etc… Another point, we unfortunately live in a society that doesn’t agree that mental health causes physical harm to the body or that it should be treated if you don’t have insurance. Jen is fighting a battle that most people couldn’t brave without help- or at all. We need to find her one person who is willing to help because they care, not because of the almighty dollar. All we need is one person to hear her pleas of not feeling normal in her own body, so we can alleviate her pain.
If you know my sister or family at all, we give everything -ask for nothing. This definitely wasn’t the first option. If you have it in your heart to assist my sister in her recovery, the proceeds will go toward keeping Jen’s apartment-while she’s unable to work and to pay for the therapy she deserves.
if you pray, send those, too!
Thank you for reading.
