Help us Stand Up For Equity
Who We Are:
We are Stand Up For Equity. Our missions is to inspire change & create equity for all members of society.
We are a 501(c)(4) organization dedicated to helping the lives of minority groups in America, starting in our home state of Missouri . We aim to address the inequities head on through lobbying, community education, and community outreach. To us, equity is creating a new status quo to a standard where everyone has the individual opportunities to succeed regardless of upbringing and lifestyle. It is about providing the correct tools for individual success, as opposed to a one size-fits all approach. We aim to recognize the unique and combined struggles individual communities have in regards to ability, sex and gender, poverty, mental health, religion, and race.
Why Were Here:
Some of the issues we want to work towards correcting;
In 2008, we had the most diverse electorate in U.S. history. From 2011 to 2012, 27 measures were passed or implemented in 19 states that make it harder to vote. - source
1 in 2 Black adults with a college degree or more have had a family member in jail or prison - source
Homes in Black neighborhoods are priced around 23 percent less than those in white neighborhoods. - source
What Your Donations Does:
With your help we will tackle these inequities. Your donations goes directly to helping us;
Lobby against inequitiable laws that negatively affect minorities.
Educate our community on issues regarding racism, voter suppression, and the criminal justice system.
Educate our community on ongoing legislations, how to vote, and how to register to vote.
Advocate for minority-owned businesses.
Perform outreach events for members of our community, like free counciling sessions.
