Support Our Family to be Together

Hi , I'm Kaila and I'm 28 years old from Western Sydney and my partner Blake whos 32. If you know me , you know our long journey to becoming a mum. Close to over 8 years of trying to fall pregnant, medicine trials of clomid and every avenue we could try , we then got referred to IVF. On December 5th , we had an appointment booked in and then postponed it to early 2025 as the new year and Christmas timing just wasn't right. Well God had other plans quick ! 17th December I'm rushed to emergency from the GP & advised I have a 75 HCG level which meant I was around 3 weeks pregnant NATURALLY ! This was the start of a crazy journey ahead. For weeks we had blood tests and ultrasounds like crazy until they could see the actual pregnancy and not just levels. We then got a heart beat and at 10 weeks found out he was a little boy. Finally after so long I was finally a mum. Constant check ups as we were classed as high risk and just made sure we tried to do what we could to remain healthy and relaxed. It was around 15 weeks , I had a bit of bleeding and rushed to the GP in a panic as I thought the worst , he was fine , heart beating strong but little did we know the news about to come. We were advised his right leg below the knee was developing roughly 3 weeks behind the left. We went home that night worried and panicked , only for Westmead Hospital to call us the following morning and request us to immediately come in for a scan. We went down straight away and that's when they confirmed that the GP results were true and our little boys leg had slowed in development. From here we got referred to Westmead Children's Hospital to the limb an joint specialist where we were advised our options for when he was born and what operations he would need. By this time my head is a mess and I can't function at the fact I was blaming myself for this. We had to then wait a few more weeks to see the progress and that's when my world shattered his leg has continued to slow in development with now 5-6 behind progress and triple the difference in length to his left. We have so many more appointments, scans and tests to do now before his earthside but our main concern is being a family at that critical time. For the last 17 months blake has worked for a company with the final outcome of him becoming permanent which would of been perfect timing to take a few weeks off paid for when our boys here , but that all crashed when an AI robot determined he wasn't fit for the job he had just done for 17 months prior. Being a casual through an agency going to permanent through the company he was working for there wasnt really anything we could do. He was absolutely shattered and as a new dad with a boy who will need his parents he felt like he failed we are still awaiting alot more answers and hoping that we have other avenues but one being mentioned at the moment is amputation below the knee and we can't comprehend not both being there for our boy at that critical time. We had decided on not having a baby shower as he will have everything he needs for when he arrives but the main thing we would love is for us to be able to comfortably spend a few weeks with him while in and out of hospital and to give us some time as a new family during that time. We aren't asking for the world , we are just asking to be a family for the first few weeks of our boys lives. All fund will be used to cover rental expenses , petrol costs to and from hospital , groceries and general bills for a few weeks. Absolutely every cent we get on here will be withdrawn on the day his born for us to then financially support ourselves. No donation is to small ♥️ absolutely everything helps us both be there for this time in ours and our boys life
