Hi Everyone!

This is Elyssa. I am creating this fundraiser this year for my birthday.

As many of you know, the last decade has been full of medical roller coasters for our family. From chronic heart failure, bedrest, NICU stays, and neurodegenerative disease, we have had a lot of battles with health.

Recently, Sawyer and Stella both had some testing that showed degenerative complications in both of their brains.

Doctors have told us that the next step forward is to have full genetic exome sequencing tests done on at least three family members. Sawyer, Stella and myself. And depending on the results, Adam may need to be tested as well.

This is our best hope of finding an answer that will lead to potential treatments for all of us.

Unfortunately, even with the company-sponsored insurance coverage we have, each test will cost us about $5600 per person. Giving us a total of well over $15,000. Adam manages to work a full-time job while also caring for all of us, but with me not able to have a full-time job- this cost is way over what we can afford.

So we are coming to you with hopeful hearts asking for your help! The last few years have been incredibly hard for so many, and we completely understand that! But if you are able to donate, every tiny bit will help more than I can express.
