For over a century, Western art has been dominated by male voices telling male stories. Museums, galleries, and collectors have celebrated the cowboys, but largely ignored the cowgirls—the extraordinary women artists whose powerful work captures the authentic spirit of the American West.
We're changing that narrative.

Veryl Goodnight - Sculptor and painter whose work honors relationships between pioneer women and wildlife; inducted into National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in 2016
Terri Kelly Moyers - Second woman ever to receive Prix de West Purchase Award; inducted into National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in 2015
Gladys Roldan-de-Moras - 2023 Prix de West Winner; first Mexican-born woman in National Cowgirl Museum Hall of Fame
Deborah Copenhaver Fellows is a renowned American Western sculptor best known for creating the Barry Goldwater statue in the U.S. Capitol's National Statuary Hall. With over 200 completed sculptures and prestigious commissions including monuments at the Capitol and the Alamo, she ranks among today's most accomplished Western sculptors.

We're raising $60,000 to create a compelling "sizzle reel"—a 30-minute proof-of-concept that will showcase these incredible artists and their stories. This initial funding covers production costs and travel to capture footage with our featured artists across the American West.
This sizzle reel is our launchpad. With it, we'll secure the $835,000 needed for a full feature-length documentary that meets the production quality standards for premier platforms like Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime, and PBS.
