Help Us Bring Our Personal Mother-Daughter Story To Life
Donation protected
Everyone has a mom. What makes our short film stand out is that it can simultaneously be personal yet accessible to every audience member.
Our crew met through our love for filmmaking at Cinematic Arts & Production Club at Berkeley. Our director, Selin, has directed two beautiful projects for our club, and this semester wants to work on something bigger: “An Ode to the Apricot.” Our experienced crew aims to create a transcendental and touching experience for audiences to watch at the end of the semester.
Our story centres around a mother-daughter relationship featuring two separate timelines in our narrative, showing the unique experiences of the mother and daughter. The film’s themes will focus on grief and generational trauma and explore their emotional impacts. Our influences are Hereditary, Lady Bird and the Netflix series Dark, although we will take more of a psychological approach to our short film.
If you donate to "An Ode to the Apricot," your donation will directly benefit fulfilling our creative vision. Our money will primarily be used for locations and art department materials. If you donate $500, you will be credited as an executive producer; if you donate $300, you will be credited as an associate producer. We will give the rest of our donors a special thanks in the credits.
