Help Udani, a Young Ocean Advocate, Represent Sri Lanka at the UN Ocean Conference in France.

Udani Hewa Madduma is a final-year Fisheries & Marine Science student at Ocean University, Sri Lanka, and the Program & Community Manager at SeaSisters Lanka — a non-profit organization that empowers women through swimming and surfing.

She has been given an incredible opportunity: SeaSisters has been officially accredited to attend the United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice, France, from June 9–13, 2025, and Udani has the chance to represent the organisation.

But she brings passion, deep community knowledge, and a clear mission: to represent Sri Lanka’s coastal communities on the global stage and return home with knowledge, networks, and momentum to empower others.
