Dear Friends, Family, and Community,Our family has experienced an unimaginable tragedy. On the afternoon of Tuesday, July 21, 2026, a fast-moving fire engulfed our home. While my father, my brother, and I managed to escape with just the clothes on our backs, our lives have been forever changed.We are heartbroken to share that we lost our beloved mother—our unwavering support system—and our brave Uncle Phil, who selflessly ran back into the flames to try and save her.This loss comes after a long, grueling battle. Last year, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. She had just transitioned to immunotherapy, and we finally believed the worst was behind us. In an instant, the fire took her from us, alongside Uncle Phil, five of our seven cherished cats, our two parrots, and our two fish tanks. Only two of our cats survived.Right now, we have absolutely nothing and nowhere to turn. We are relying entirely on the kindness of our community for basic everyday necessities like food and clothing.We urgently need your help to pick up the pieces, we need to give a respectful funeral for both and are left quite short on funds due to this horrible accident.
