Help us send Sabrina to school!

Hi friends!
I'm starting this fundraiser in support of my niece, Sabrina, who dreams of becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide for herself and her precious 1-year-old, Ryan.

Sabrina came into our lives 13 years ago, when my sister-friend Brittanie became her foster mom. If you know me, you've probably heard me brag about Brittanie and her incredible foster daughters in Kenya, who quickly became part of our family, too.

When Sabrina joined Brittanie's family, she was already a teen who had survived a lifetime of trauma and violence. Last year, she experienced an unplanned pregnancy and courageously decided to raise her precious baby boy, Ryan. Hunja and I decided to come alongside her to support her when we learned that she was suffering from severe postpartum depression and anxiety, on top of a pre-existing mental health diagnosis and extreme poverty.

Fortunately, our community surrounded us with support to help us meet Sabrina and Ryan's basic needs. Thanks to that outpouring of love, we were able to get Sabrina through her first year of motherhood with all her needs provided for. She is going to therapy, taking her meds, enjoying being a mama, and healing every day.

Now that she is out of crisis mode, her goal is to go back to school to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She is eager to be able to provide for herself and baby Ryan, and Hunja and I want to help make that possible. Will you join us?

In honor of my 37th birthday this month, I'm asking my friends to donate $37 towards Sabrina's tuition.

If 10 friends donate, we can cover her first term!
If 10 more friends donate, we can cover her second term!
And then Hunja & I will cover the final term!

Yes, you heard right - we only need to raise $740 ($370 + $370) for Sabrina to become a CNA and begin providing for her family!

We have watched our community come together before, and we know we can do it again. Thank you in advance for considering a donation (of any amount)! And if you can't give, please say a prayer for her and her sweet baby boy, that they would continue to persevere through every obstacle.
