Help Us Send Our Mother Home Beautifully

Hello everyone, it troubles me to bring this news to the world. Recently, one of the most majestic people in my family passed away from Stage 4 Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer on September 20th , 2021. Leannette first off, was my beloved mother but it doesn’t end there, she was a loving mother to 4 children and grandmother of 5 and soon to be 6. Leannette aka Nettie was a kind loving woman who loved her family beyond words can explain.

 

Our mother dedicated her life to her children (Antoinette, Antoine, Emani, and Matthew (SIP), but most of all her grandchildren (David, Messiah, Zeniya, Kaiden, Nova, and expecting Babygirl). It’s still extremely hard to believe just how much of a rollercoaster ride we were all on with her after finding out the news. This still doesn’t feel real. Our mother fought so hard to try to get better, and to be strong for her family not giving up hope that she’d have just a little more time to be with us. Within 3 weeks of finding out about her illness, she was already far into it and before we knew it her battle begun and she fought as much as her body can endure. Anyone who truly knew Leannette knew how strong of a woman she really was. Our angel will sincerely be missed but her love and her memories will live on with us all forever.

 

We are all beyond devastated by the loss of our mother and are not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service, and neither was my mom. She had lost her job due to the pandemic and along with it her life insurance which lapsed. We want to be able to give her the memorial she deserves, to honor her spirit and say our last goodbyes.

 

A lot of family and friends have graciously reached out, knowing the situation, wanting to help with final arrangements which is why I’m currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Our Mother’s funeral to help honor her memory, and give her the memorial home going service she deserves which is our reason for making the Go Fund Me. We need to raise $14,000 in order to be able to afford the funeral service.
