Jacob Carbajal - Memorial Fund
On February 1st, the lives of a family were changed forever and a piece of my own heart left me, leaving behind an emptiness that I cannot fill. On this day, 3-year-old Jacob Carbajal-Bustos tragically passed due to injuries sustained from a terrible car accident.
El 1 de febrero, las vidas de una familia fueron cambiadas para siempre y un pedazo de mi propio corazón me dejó, dejando atrás un vacío que no puedo llenar. En este día, Jacob Carbajal-Bustos, de 3 años, falleció trágicamente debido a un terrible accidente de carro.
Earlier that day, his mother, Guadalupe Bustos, found herself running errands with her niece, who was driving. In the car were her three nieces and two sons, Jacob, 3, and Jonathan, 5. It was around 6 pm, as they were crossing an intersection ready to go home that they were struck by someone driving under the influence. Thankfully, Guadalupe and her eldest son managed to survive the crash and have been in recovery. Her other family members were not so fortunate. One of her nieces remains in critical care and she has lost Jacob, her youngest boy.
Durante ese día, su madre, Guadalupe Bustos, se encontraba con familia, haciendo recados. Su sobrina conducía y en el carro estaban sus tres sobrinas y dos hijos, Jacob, 3, y Jonathan, 5. Era alrededor de las 6 pm cuando que estaban cruzando una intersección, listos para irse a casa, cuando fueron golpeados por alguien conduciendo bajo la influencia. Afortunadamente, Guadalupe y su hijo mayor lograron sobrevivir al accidente y han estado en recuperación. Pero sus otros miembros de la familia no eran tan afortunados. Una de sus sobrinas permanece en cuidado crítico y ha perdido a Jacob, su hijo menor.
On behalf of the Bustos family, who is grieving beyond compare for the loss of such a young and beautiful baby boy gone too soon, I ask for your help.

The family doesn't have the resources to be able to afford a funeral for little Jacob. They don't ask for much. Anything helps and would be greatly appreciated. Even just kind words and sharing this with those who might want to help this family lay their child to rest.
