On the evening of January 16th, 13 year old Kai arrived at his home with his family and without being asked he immediately went outside to shovel the snow. When he came back inside he asked his father if he could play outside with his brother Nasir and his friends in the neighborhood. After being outside everyone decided to go to 7-11 where he suddenly passed out. We are so grateful for his 10 year old friend who called 911 immediately, and his parents for help. Unfortunately when paramedics arrived there was nothing left that they could do, our sweet Kai was already gone. Kai was a joy to everybody he was involved with, we’ve never heard a single complaint about him, EVER!! He was a role model, uber talented and devoted athlete, big brother, the best son and way more. We are crushed with the departure of this beautiful soul and our hearts weigh heavy with the weight that his parents have to carry, so soon and so unexpectedly.
