On March 11, 2026, we got a call from Courtney that he was going to change his sister's locks because her abusive boyfriend was threatening to hurt her. Around 7 pm that night, the boyfriend came and shot Courtney 6 times and ran him over. Also, in the process, he shot Courtney's sister, Taneshia, 3 times.

Courtney unfortunately died at the hospital, and Taneshia is in the hospital recovering. Courtney was well-loved and a wonderful barber. We are looking for money to send him home. Courtney doesn't have much family besides the family relations he built with his customers. He was very loved in the community and hoping we can get some love and support.
