Help Us Secure Our Temple of Peace

Temple Shalom of Northwest Arkansas seeks better security in light of the Pittsburgh shooting and other anti-Semitic occurrences.
Temple Shalom is a small Jewish congregation nestled in the Ozark Mountains of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Though our temple was built with beauty in mind, we are reaching out for support to acquire better security features. It is a challenging time for us, and our little southern community feels that it is time to ask for your help!
We are seeking $18,000 to increase our Temple's security. Funds raised will be used solely for this purpose.
Nine years ago we were blessed to have a friend of the Temple, a Palestinian Muslim and member of the Islamic Center, donate his services as general contractor to build us a beautiful new synagogue - our temple was previously a small rented house! Over the years we have strived to maintain strong relationships with many other religious communities including the Islamic Center of NWA, a number of local churches, Buddhist and Quaker communities, as well as contribute to the Northwest Arkansas community at large.
'Shalom' means 'peace' in Hebrew, and we want to make sure that we have a community space that holds up to its name. Please help us feel safe at our place of worship so that we can strengthen our commitment to our faith and continue to contribute to our Northwest Arkansas community!
