- A

As many of you know, we've been trying to forge a living in Paris, with very few resources and very little support - in the hopes that our beloved child Yara will have a better life than we could have provided for her in Brooklyn.
We've been fighting bureaucracy, pooling our resources, and studying options for two years(!) and have decided to take the insane risk of trying to purchase a a single attic unit comprised of two tiny studio rooms.
We've concluded that this investment is our best chance to:
• Invest our meager $ into €
• Get a permanent mailing address
• Have a place to work
• Have a fallback place to crash if we have to
• Have a jumping off point to take Yara to daycare
• House our friends when they come to visit
• Rent the space out to recoup some cash
There are many challenges associated, and the rooms are very small, but are extremely cute and have inspiring views. There's room to sleep 3 and lots of storage and amenities. (Think sailboat living, but urban...)
Opportunities like this don't come up often, and usually they disappear off the market instantly, so this is a rare chance for us.
It's a block away from Shakespeare & Co. Bookstore, and a 5 minute walk from Notre Dame (freshly renovated!)
Super close to transit and everything good, especially the line that goes straight to Charles de Gaule Airport (the main one).
Now the challenge - we managed to scrape together enough cash for the balance by cratering our savings and borrowing small sums from friends. However we were just hit with an unexpected round of attorney and registration fees that we absolutely cannot absorb. If we can't raise this money soon, we lose our deposit, the property, and honestly the 6 months of negotiation to acquire them.
If we can get this place, we will have a permanent place to offer to invite you to come crash.
Any help you can give will be most welcome. We know times are tough for everybody. They certainly are for us. If you can't help us out and can think of someone who might be willing to, please send this along.
Sending all love and courage, and Thank You
Andrew+Sofy+Yara
