We are Richard, Lynn and Laura. We live for farming and producing real food. We have been goat farming for 50 years, we have ridden out various storms in the food and farming industry over the years. For the last 20 years we have reared all pork, lamb and goat on farm and then processed in our on farm bakery into Sausage rolls, Scotch eggs, Pasties and all sorts of other baked goodies. Producing real food, with low food miles, local ingredients and total traceability.

20 years ago we were caught by a mortgage company who we subsequently found out had very dubious practices. That financial input, that never completely materialised, was supposed to help us grow our business making real food and selling it directly to the public. We have fought this company for the entire time. Other farmers who were also caught lost their farms, some even lost their fight with life. But earlier this year, this company finally came up with a settlement figure. We put land on the market but with the way things are the land just isn't shifting.

Then.. heroes really do walk among us. This hero is going to loan us the settlement figure. Something we will never be able to express how grateful we are for.

But the company are adding daily interest and insist to settle we must pay their costs and all interest. We are running a skeleton crew of goats and pigs and the majority of the sheep flock are now up for sale to try and raise the extra money. We can rebuild but we have to survive this first.

The money will be used to pay the interest and costs that the company have added to the original settlement figure. The consequences of not paying all costs and interest by the deadline are the company can go straight to court for repossession of the farm.

Farmers are not good at asking for help but we are so close to finally being able to put this to rest and really move forwards doing what we love. Farming and producing good food. And leaving a legacy the next generation can grow. Real food from a real farm.

Without going into detail about personal history for myself, Laura. The children and me went through alot, the farm is everything to us. It helped us rebuild our lives. We want to eventually be able to offer a safe place, a couple of nice statics with a small garden area for people and families getting away from DV. With the offer of some work, training and maybe even some qualifications. Along side our farm and Bakery. We do have to survive this first. Thankyou for reading, sharing and donating. Every little bit of support means the world to us.
