Tucker is our 6-year-old lab who has filled our lives with so much love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He’s always been a bossy, lovable, hyper, and sometimes lazy companion—always getting into the middle of things, laying on us, and causing just the right amount of trouble. Tucker would boop my hand when I was standing still to let me know he wanted scratches, and he’d hop with excitement every time I fed him. His favorite treats were popcorn and Cheetos, and he made sure we knew it by barking and hopping on his front feet until he got what he wanted.
Tucker came into our lives shortly after we lost our other lab mix during the summer of COVID. From the very beginning, he bonded with our family and became our best friend. He’s always been gentle and kind, especially with our daughter when she was little, and even now, as he’s not feeling well, he remains patient and loving. Tucker has moved with us three times and managed to escape a few times too—each time chased down by my wife. Our home is filled with his fur, his bark, and his hugs, and we can’t imagine life without him.
Recently, Tucker was diagnosed with metastatic cancer, and his health has declined rapidly. We are heartbroken and shocked by how quickly this has happened. Our family wants to give Tucker the peaceful goodbye he deserves and honor his memory with cremation and keepsakes like an urn and a paw print. Unfortunately, we’ve struggled financially these past months and can’t afford the necessary steps to make this happen. We would be incredibly grateful and humbled by any support you can give to help us say goodbye to our beloved Tucker and keep his legacy alive.
