After a 7-month long battle due to complications from COVID -19, Julia Rose Mendoza has sadly passed away. She leaves behind her husband, their 4 daughters and 8 beautiful grandchildren, including the newest grandson. He was born just days before she was admitted and sadly she was never able to hold him.

On June 20th, 2021 both Julia and her husband Dan were admitted to the ICU at La Palma hospital. Dan was able to recover after 65 days in the hospital. Julia was admitted with diabetic Ketoacidosis due to testing positive for COVID-19 just a few days prior. Julia was put on a Ventilator right away and developed COVID Pneumonia, which caused her Kidney and lung failure, she had to endure weekly dialysis and frequent blood transfusions. She went on to fight for her life for 7 months. Her battle has taken a toll on the entire family and are still in shock and deeply saddened by her loss.

Julia was the center of our family, caring for her daughters, grandchildren and husband. This has been a profound loss for us all.
