Help Us Say Goodbye to Dad & Support Mum’s Care

Hi everyone, It’s with a heavy heart that I’m reaching out to ask for your support during one of the most difficult times in our lives. On April 9th, our dad passed away in the hospital due to a heart attack. He had been bravely battling kidney failure since 2020, undergoing weekly dialysis treatments at a private health institution. These treatments, while essential to keeping him going, took a tremendous toll—not just on his health, but also financially. Over time, his savings were depleted. Eventually, he had to make the heartbreaking decision to sell our family home to cover basic living expenses and his medical treatments. Our dad was also the full-time carer for our mum, who suffers from schizophrenia. With his passing, we need to ensure Mum gets the care and stability she needs in a safe environment. We’ve found a care home that feels right for her, near her family. It has the nursing staff and structure that can help her stay compliant with her medication and create a daily routine that gives her a sense of normalcy. The cost of the transition is significant, and right now, with my brother and I both travelling in from the UK & SG – we are struggling to manage it while also arranging the funeral services. We are humbly asking for your help.
