Please help us to save our mother’s life, our angel.
Our mother is the synonym for bravery, love, and strength. She has dedicated her entire life to raising three daughters. At the same time, she worked very hard as an entrepreneur to give us the best education and a better quality of life.
Our mother is a beautiful 60-year-old, who lives in Colombia with our dad. Our mother is not only the most incredible mother, but she also is an amazing wife, daughter, sister, and friend.
However, our angel is now going through the most difficult battle of her life, and her battle is our battle. Two years ago, she was diagnosed with an extremely rare tumour called Schwannoma. This tumour, according to the Center for Cancer Research in the United States “Is a rare disease, which means it affects fewer than 200.000 people”. It has a very aggressive behaviour and because it is benign it doesn’t react to any oncological treatment. The tumour is in her lower abdomen surrounding the Aorta and other organs. In a short period of time, blood will not be able to circulate in her body and the outcome will be catastrophic.
Since she was diagnosed, we have spent many months across the best hospitals in Colombia, and she has been seen already by more than 50 doctors including public and private specialists, where doctors advised us that signing the Euthanasia was the only option since there is no a solution that could save her life. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find any cure or solution and my mother's lifespan is very short because the tumour grows every day. Two months ago, the tumour took over her kidneys leaving her with renal kidney failure. Now our mother needs dialysis every other day to get rid of the toxins in her body. She is still at a very high-risk status.
My family and I have struggled to support my mother and have researched every possible option. We found an option in Mexico where they can treat her by doing two rare complex surgeries and a special treatment that might be able to save her life. Nevertheless, the cost of saving her life is very high, as each procedure is very complex and requires specialists.
We have spent our life savings thus far in efforts to save our mother. However, it is not enough and now we need your help donating to cover the hospital expenses. We have done everything we can in an attempt to save her life and give her one more breath, to continue living her life.
Seeing our beautiful strong mother fighting this battle has been the hardest thing in the world. Your donation will help us to continue treating her, so she has a chance to survive this rare illness and continue her life.
