Help us save Wesley and find a cure

Hi i’m Chloe and I’m trying to raise funds for my best friend Wesley.

Wes is a Border Collie x Kelpie aged 1.5 years.

unfortunately Wesley has had it tough. At only 5 months old he had pneumonia which hospitalised him. He bounced back well- at least we thought he had.

Wes has been very unwell for the past 5 months. We have been trying all different things to help him.

Wes first had blood in his stools and very runny stools which vets gave us several things to try which only cleared up the blood. He then started getting leaking anal glands which was thankfully cleared with Glandex, but the stools were still very runny.

Wesley quickly lost 10kg in a span of 1-2 weeks. You could see every bone in his body. He was weak and fragile. It tore us apart watching Wesley slowly deteriorate.

Wes has tried several diets to put his weight on; raw feeding, vet prescribed gastrointestinal kibble, kibble and then puppy food 3 times daily. Nothing worked.

The vets have ruled out food being the cause of this problem and we will now have to do some research into Wesley and what may be causing this.

The vets have never seen anything like this before.

Blood tests have shown some discrepancies in his liver.

further testing that may be required includes; Gastroscopy and colonoscopy, internal and external ultrasounds, stool testing, further blood tests, specialist clinical tests and more.

Wesley is deteriorating and without your help Wes won’t find a cure and will be unfortunately euthanised.
