Four Tails of Hope - Help us save & bring them to the UK

Hi Everyone,

I'm back home from Turkey, but my mission to help three beautiful street dogs continues. While on holiday, I came across a young dog in desperate need of help. I found her late one night, curled up in a ditch full of rocks and metal. After giving her some love, she followed me back to the hotel. She was so skinny compared to the other dogs and looked very weak.

Over the next few days, I noticed that she wasn’t allowed to approach people or eat because the other dogs would attack her. So she would hide and sit and watch the other dogs eat from tourists. After seeing her struggle, I couldn’t just leave her. I gave her food, water, and attention, and by the end of the week, she looked healthier and started greeting me. That’s when I knew I had to bring her home.

I’ve arranged for a company to bring her to the UK, with an expected arrival in May 2025. Until then, she’ll be staying in a care home in Turkey. But there’s more to this story—she has a best friend who’s been by her side through everything, and I can’t bear the thought of leaving her behind. Both dogs are so gentle, loving, and well-mannered. My goal is to bring them both to the UK to find safe, loving homes.

Then there’s the third dog, a young, energetic boy who would often chase the front tires of passing cars. Many times, he was nearly hit, and despite his tiny body, he once walked us back to our hotel, chasing away wild boars to protect us. He’s just as loving and deserves a safe home, too.

This mission has become even more urgent. Turkey recently passed a new rule allowing authorities to remove street dogs, and in some cases, they are authorised to kill them. With the tourist season ending and food becoming scarce, these dogs’ lives are in even greater danger. The cost to rescue each dog is now over £2,000, covering their transportation, care, and preparations to enter the UK.

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we reached our initial goal of £3,000! But there’s still more to cover for all three dogs’ care and journey to a safe future. I’ve updated the target to keep us moving forward, and every donation helps, no matter the amount. Even a share of this post can make a huge difference in spreading the word and helping us reach our goal.
