Help Us Save Sunny’s Life — Emergency Heart Treatment Needed

Hello friends, family, and anyone willing to listen to Sunny’s story. We’re reaching out with heavy hearts and an urgent plea for help. Our sweet cat Sunny, just 2 years old, is facing a life-threatening medical emergency: sudden and severe heart failure.

We adopted Sunny in July 2023, alongside his sister Miso. What was supposed to be the start of a joyful new chapter quickly turned into a long and difficult journey. Soon after adoption, Sunny was diagnosed with severe environmental allergies that deeply impacted his quality of life. For nearly two years now, we’ve been fighting beside him through medications, countless vet visits, and immunotherapy, just to give him a normal, happy life. And he fought too. Through all of it, Sunny remained the most loving, silly, and sweet boy.

Just as we finally started to feel like he was getting back to himself, everything changed overnight. Around midnight, Sunny began struggling to breathe. We rushed him to the emergency vet, terrified. That’s when we got the devastating news: Sunny is in heart failure. His heart is enlarged and there is fluid built up in his lungs. The vet believes it’s a condition he was born with — and it simply never showed signs until now.

Sunny urgently needs to see a cardiologist, receive advanced diagnostics, and be hospitalized for intensive care. Without immediate treatment, we could lose him. The cost of care starts around $6,000 and may reach $8,000 or more, depending on how his condition progresses.

Right now, we’re at home with Sunny because the emergency clinic couldn’t proceed without upfront payment. We’re doing everything we can, but we simply can’t afford this alone — and we’re heartbroken watching him struggle while time is running out.
