Hi friends & family -

As some of you know, our fur baby Rumi recently accidentally injured her eye with her claw (while scratching her ear), which ended up causing a deep ulcer that led to her right eye rupturing over the weekend.

It's been a stressful and difficult experience for us, and after a few visits to the ER and an ophthalmologist over the last few days, we were told today that the surgery to fix the damage to her eye and save her vision will cost $7,000.

As you can imagine, we were not anticipating such a high cost to save her eye. We don't have it in us to remove her eye as she's only 2.5 years old, but were not prepared for such a high unexpected medical bill.

We normally aren't the type of people to ask for help, but would so appreciate anything you can give to support and help offset some of the cost. We only have the next few days to decide on surgery since there's a finite window of time available to operate to ensure the best chance of keeping her vision + a positive outcome overall.
