Today, I am reaching out with my heart in my hands to ask for help for my aunt, Rommy Ojeda. Rommy is a strong woman, deeply loved by her family and essential to everyone around her. Recently, she was admitted to a hospital where, tragically, she became a victim of medical negligence. During her care, she suffered severe damage to her intestines that was neither detected nor treated in time. This led to a widespread infection (sepsis) that put her life in extreme danger.

Faced with this urgent and life-threatening situation, our family made the most difficult but necessary decision: to transfer Rommy to a private hospital to save her life. There, she underwent high-risk abdominal surgeries, including the removal of part of her intestine, surgical washouts, and intensive treatment for sepsis and multiple complications. Thanks to the rapid medical intervention, Rommy continues to fight today, but the road to recovery has been long and challenging.

The costs of hospitalization, surgeries, intensive care, medications, and specialized tests have created a financial burden that is impossible for our family to bear alone.
