Help us save Riverdale Community Nursery School

Riverdale Community Nursery school has been apart of the Riverdale community for 41 years.

Stephanie Singer, a wonderful preschool teacher and pillar of the community since 1978 has helped nurture, grow, and educate hundreds of children throughout her years in the Riverdale community. In fact, many of the parents of currently enrolled children were once preschool students there themselves. Our family is the perfect example of the greatness that Riverdale Nursery School and Stephanie have provided. Each of our 4 children have spent their formative years starting with our oldest in 1993 and ending with our youngest in 2015, alongside Stephanie and her staff- making memories, gaining skill, and most importantly letting kids be kids in a loving, safe environment.

For the past 15 years, Stephanie and her staff have built a community at 25 Knolls Crescent providing neighbors with the sounds of children’s laughter, providing the community the convenience of a preschool close to home, and a safe place for children to learn while they grow.

But sadly, as of June 30th, Riverdale community School will unfortunately be closing it’s doors. Robert E. Hill Inc., the property manager of Knolls Crescent has demanded Stephanie leave the property. But Stephanie refuses to give up, she is on a mission to build a new home for the youngsters of Riverdale. The new property she is hoping to open will be located in the Winston Churchill Buliding, just minutes from Knolls Crescent.

Building and starting fresh isn’t something Stephanie had planned. So, after many years of giving back to our community- we are asking for help in the form of donations to give back to Stephanie. To build, to give back, to help give our littles and keep this preschool close to home.

Each and every donation is greatly appreciated. In order to open her doors, it is mandatory that she bring the fire system up to 2019 New York State Fire safety code which is an immense under taking. The money received will be used towards upgrading and ensuring that her new space is compliant with the New York State department of health, another large burden. Thank you for taking the time to donate and giving back to the beloved Riverdale Community Nursery School.
