Help us save Renée's Circular Material Hubs

We're Frieda and Vassi, founders of Renée Materials and we need your support to help us find a new home for our Circular Material Hubs.

In October 2022 we launched our first Circular Material Hub, a space where companies' leftovers and offcuts are made available to be reused as materials for creatives and their projects, in one of the most prestigious design universities in the world. In these eight months we were able to save 8.5 tonnes of materials from the skips (yes, that's 8500 kilos, basically the weight of a school bus) and involve over 2300 creatives and 40 companies.

Despite our impact and efforts, in June we were left without a home for all these precious resources, and students, creatives and makers were left without a space to pick up sustainably sourced and affordable materials for their projects.

That is why we're asking you to help us. Trashing resources that are truly valuable to creatives just because they're in the wrong place at the wrong time is for us simply unthinkable.

With your support we will build an online marketplace where art and design students, creatives, makers and anyone who needs to source materials can have the opportunity to make a planet-conscious and waste-less choice, whilst alleviating the financial stress they're facing in this cost of living crisis.

We need your help to do this, we need your help to give back a circular home to these materials at risk of ending up in landfills and incinerators.
