My name is Timm (a lot of you online folks know me as “txsomb”)—pictured is our little boy, Quinn. He’s a big ole love bug and a little chonker, and one of our 6 cats. Unfortunately, he showed signs of not feeling too well today, Saturday, May 3rd. We took him to our veterinarian and found out he has a blockage in his urethra. It may be a mucus plug, or something else, but the little guy is unable to pass urine. We had no choice but to take him to a nearby emergency veterinary clinic due to most clinics being closed, or closed early, on Saturdays. He is currently being medicated for pain and sedated to be catheterized to help pass the urine and whatever fluids are accumulating in his bladder.

He won’t be out of the woods yet—the veterinarian that is doing the catheterization is only able to do just that. We will need to move him to a second emergency veterinarian for overnight monitoring and potential stabilization if things turn for the worse.

Early estimates put the total cost anywhere between $5,000 to $6,500, and that’s where I’ll start this GoFundMe. I will, of course, adjust the goal accordingly as we receive the bills for each of his visits.

We have some of the money needed to help save his life, but not nearly enough to cover the full extent of all the care he will have over the next few days. Please, help us save Quinnie’s life. He is our world.
