Hello!
My wife and I are attempting to get the feral colony situation under control in our neighborhood. We moved into our new house a little over a year ago and the neighborhood had over 50 ferals in the area.
We have been slowly trapping and releasing the cats and even adopting out some of the younger ones if they have been socialized enough. It has unfortunately reached a point where it is becoming harder and harder for us to finance all of these procedures, vaccinations, and other treatments on our own. Not to mention the emergency procedures and ER visits due to flea anemia, stomatitis, etc.
We know so much is going on around the world and that money could be spent better elsewhere for a lot of folks, but we really don’t want any more of these animals to suffer. The more of them we can get spayed/neutered and vaccinated will lead to fewer animals alone in shelters and less death on the streets.
Whatever you can do to help, even if it’s just getting the word out there, would be much appreciated.
