I will be honest, this is a Hail Mary if there ever was one. We are scraping the bottom of the barrel for an unknown outcome, but I can't stop fighting for our girl. After days of ups and downs with sweet Pea in intensive care, I was as ready as I could be to make the hardest decision of my life on Sunday May 26th. The vet kept giving us granules of hope, assuring that it was our decision, but she kept saying things that made me feel like we should hold on and keep trying. This morning, the 27th, we got a report of her condition improving which was both wonderful to hear, and further clouding our judgement calls. We want nothing more than to bring our girl home. She will need her gallbladder removed, and the vet staff is working to get her to a comfortable enough state for surgery, which she has made strides toward over the last two days. Her outlook is completely unknown until we can get this surgery. It is out of our hands, and the most horrible roll of the dice I have faced so far. I have been driving myself insane wondering if I am doing the selfish thing or if I am doing the right thing, but my gut instinct is to fight for her. We would be so grateful if you are able to help in any way you can. We have exhausted our options and are becoming desperate.
