Help us Save our puppy Action
Last night Action fell into a deep illness- shaking, vomiting, and abdominal pain. We rushed him to a hospital and he had a high fever, distressed breathing, and was immediately put on oxygen.
The doctor diagnosed him with asphyxiated pneumonia. He has to stay in the hospital for a couple of days.
Action was rescued from a reckless breeder in Colombia who overfed him and kept him caged up. He was 20 pounds at 3 months and now, with proper diet) he is 10 pounds at 5 months. He didn’t know how to use his back legs because his keeper didn’t take him out of the crate. He also eats anything in sight as he was fed every 2 hours. We are dedicated to giving him the best quality of life.
We totally understand the concerns that come with Frenchies and were prepared- got health insurance as soon as we made the decision to take him home. Unfortunately this falls between the waiting period of the policy kicking in (2 week waiting period) which was devastating to learn.
The medical bills are crazy high with his treatment and extended stay and without the insurance’s help it’s a tough situation.
Dakota and I have to go back to NY for work and will be driving down to pick him back up when he is discharged.
Action is the youngest of our fur family He’s 5 months old, and we adore him already. He’s in a loving happy home with 3 siblings.
This was a crazy unexpected nightmare and we’d appreciate any help we can get. No help is too small!
