My name is Rahul Gajmer, and I am creating this fundraiser for my 5-day-old newborn nephew, who is currently fighting for his life in the hospital in India. Our family is going through the most difficult moment we have ever faced.

Our little baby has been diagnosed with Severe Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS). His tiny lungs are struggling to function on their own, and he is currently on Nitric Oxide Therapy, a treatment that is critical to keep him alive.

The Situation

This condition came unexpectedly, and watching such a small baby battle for life is heartbreaking for all of us. My sister and brother-in-law are completely devastated but staying strong for their child.

The Financial Burden

The treatment is extremely expensive.

Just the Nitric Oxide therapy alone costs around ₹1,00,000 (1 lakh INR / approx. $1120 USD per day), and he is expected to need it for several days.

On top of this, there are mounting hospital charges, tests, ICU costs, and medications.

My sister and brother-in-law are doing everything they can, but the financial pressure has become overwhelming. They simply cannot afford this lifesaving treatment on their own.
