I never imagined that I would one day have to write these words.. We were raised to always try to stay strong, no matter how difficult life becomes. Today, I am writing for the most important person in our lives. Asking for help is never easy, but today I am doing it for my mother’s life.

My mom, Soha, is the heart and soul of our family. She is 56 years old and she means everything to us. She dedicated her entire life to us, her five children. She has always worked hard, sacrificed so much, and did everything she could so we could grow up and achieve our dreams. Seeing her today fighting this disease is the hardest challenge we have ever faced as a family.

In February of this year, our lives suddenly changed. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer (HER2-positive). She has already started treatment — the first of six sessions of chemotherapy and targeted therapy — and she will also need surgery followed by further targeted treatment after the operation.

Although she has faced health problems throughout her life, my mother has never given up. But this time, she faces her greatest challenge yet. Unfortunately, the treatment costs are extremely high, beyond our family financial means, and we fear her care may be interrupted due to financial constraints.

Any donation, no matter how small, can help us continue this fight and give her the chance to receive the treatment she needs.
