My name is Cecilia Oliver, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help during the most difficult time our family has ever faced.
My husband, Terence Oliver, and I have been together for 41 years and married for 35. We’ve built a life filled with love, raised three children, and now cherish our grandchildren. Like many families, we’ve had our share of ups and downs—but nothing could have prepared us for what we’re facing now.
In 2019, Terence became seriously ill with kidney failure and spent over a month in ICU. By the grace of God, he pulled through. He went back to work, and together we managed to rebuild and stay on top of our bills.
Then in August 2025, our world was turned upside down again. Terence was diagnosed with prostate cancer. As we were preparing to begin treatment, he started having severe headaches. We thought it was stress—but just one month later, we received devastating news: he also has glioblastoma, an aggressive and terminal brain cancer.
He had to undergo emergency brain surgery, and since then, everything has changed.
Terence is no longer able to work. I’ve had to miss a significant amount of work to care for him and be by his side during hospital stays and treatments. Our daughter, who lives with us, is doing everything she can to help—but she’s just recently returned to work after being unemployed for a year.
We’ve been denied mortgage assistance. Terence has been denied disability twice. Meanwhile, medical bills, treatments, medications, and everyday living expenses continue to pile up.
We are now at risk of losing our home—the place where we’ve raised our children and created a lifetime of memories, the place our grandchildren come to feel safe and loved.
We are trying to raise $7,000 to cover our mortgage and keep a roof over our heads during this critical time.
We never imagined we would be in a position where we’d have to ask for help like this. But right now, we truly need it.
If you are able to donate, share, or even just keep us in your prayers, it would mean more than words can express. Every little bit helps us stay afloat and focus on what truly matters—spending time together and fighting this battle as a family.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can give.
With love and gratitude,
Cecilia Oliver and Terence Oliver
