This past year has been incredibly difficult for me and my husband. Living out in the country, we rely on our car to get to work and manage daily life. When our only vehicle broke down, it left us stranded and unable to earn an income. As if that wasn’t enough, relentless winds tore a piece of our roof off, and after a harsh winter, the rest of the roof caved in.

With the loss of our vehicle and the mounting repairs, we’ve fallen behind on our property taxes, putting our family’s farm at risk. We’ve always worked hard to maintain our home and land, but this year has left our lives in shambles. The stress of not having a safe, warm place to live and the fear of losing our farm has been overwhelming.

We are reaching out for help because we truly have nowhere else to turn. Any support would allow us to get a vehicle so we can return to work, repair our roof to prevent further damage, and catch up on our property taxes to keep our home.The estamate to fix our roof is $12000 with around $4300 upfront for a deposit. If anyone could help us, it would dramatically change our situation and allow us to get our lives back to a form of normalcy.
