Back in November of 2025, I lost my job. My wife and I had just bought a home, and shortly after, I was involved in a car accident. As if that wasn’t enough, I was scheduled for surgery at the beginning of February, and I am still in the process of recovering. While I am collecting unemployment, it simply isn’t enough to cover all of our expenses. I have been applying to jobs consistently, but so far, I haven’t received any call backs.

The timing of everything has made things especially difficult for us. We received a letter in December for missing a payment on our property tax, and if we don’t pay soon, there’s a real risk that our home could be foreclosed on. The stress of trying to keep up with our mortgage, daily expenses like groceries, monthly bills, and now the urgent property tax payment has been overwhelming.

I have always taken pride in providing for myself and my wife, so it is incredibly hard and humbling to ask for help. I am truly scared for our future right now, but I know that sometimes we all need a little support. Any help, even from a perfect stranger, would mean more than words can express.
